Catalina Cottage is named after an aircraft that flew for Australia in WW11.

The Catalina Aircraft was known as a ' flying boat ' which could land on lakes and in the sea.

One of the brave crew members of The Catalina was the late father of the owners of Catalina Cottage.

The naming of Catalina Cottage is a tribute to all the courageous men that flew for our country in WW11.
